Tandragee. 17 Feb 2013. #1. This is a bit of a strange one. The passenger rear door on my Octavia has stopped opening all of a sudden today. I think the central locking motor has packed in preventing the door from opening however the child lock is also on to prevent my son from opening it so it will not open from the interior door handle either.2013 Skoda Octavia elegance 2.0l tdi 148bhp hatchback. Variant: elegance 2.0l tdi 148bhp hatchback. The central locking locks the rest of the car but not the drivers door, the wing mirrors have also ceased operation, not folding in, and none of the windows open.
Hello, I have looked around for a fix to my problem and found a rather helpful guide, BUT!!!! The drivers door won't unlock, either by alarm fob, key remote, key or from inside. Skoda Octavia Mk I (1996-2004) Help, I can't open the drivers door. Had the same problem with a passat and an a4. Something funny with these VAG locks lol

Secondly, I'd replace the steering angle sensor and faulty speed sensor. Perform basic settings and calibrations. If that fails, then I would check the wires in the driver door loom. Sometimes a break can cause undesirable effects! Mar 6, 2020 #3.
